FATHER’S DAY, JUNE 21st
June 21 @ 11:00 am - 2:30 pm
A great event has been organized by Malcolm for us to go on, and therefore, once again, be on the road. Of course, we will be observing the distancing rules ensuring the safety of ourselves and our host. Malcolm described the run in his message, but here are the guidelines from Derrick:
Time: Meeting at 11:00 am., Departure 11:15 a.m., Sunday, June 21
Place: Tim Horton’s parking lot (across from Save-on-Foods), just off Ravine Way.
A scenic route has been planned to lead us through the Saanich by-ways and back-roads to ‘The Roost.’ Hamish has a very special project to show us .. And having been there before, I am sure that this latest project will be very enjoyable to see. We will be outside most of the time, but please bring masks, etc.. We may go into the barn for some reason, or if we need to get closer to hear, or ???, As Malcolm said—a ‘prize’ for the best mask!!
Do plan on having a bite to eat whilst there. The Roost is serving from the patio windows of the Bakery for minimal contact (think glorified food truck). They have fresh baked breads, baked goods, pies, frozen meals, and are adding more each day. It’s all an adventure that we will never, ever, forget!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST! PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON COMING!
