The Events Chair, Derrick, has a reminder to check the website regularly for events. In particular, there are the upcoming ones to be aware of;

1. January 14, 2019, regular meeting will have the annual awards. 
2. Valentines Day Run and fun. Meet at the Tim Horton’s, Saanich Plaza for a fun 40-50 minute run organized by Derrick Sparks and Ian Sparks. We end up at Randy Slade and Heather MacCallum’s place at 616 Woodcreek Place in North Saanich. We all will enjoy sweets and tea and coffee. Welcome all and bring something to share if you want to. If the weather is good we will have a bonfire in the yard. Keep checking the website for details and times.

Wind storm damage report from my yard.
I hope that all came through the recent windstorm without any damage to their property. We have mostly wind blown branches and a tree from the neighboring property came down partially on our land. The unfortunate thing was that my shelter over my Spitfire blew up and over my car leaving it exposed to the rain and it filled with water. I spent a lot of time with towels, vacumns and heaters drying out the car. I think it’s good now but not a fun way to wind up the year. It really needs a full cleaning and wash now but I may have dodged a real issue I hope.
