The Dashboard is published on the third Monday of each month and reports on the happenings you may have missed at the club meeting the previous Monday.
President’s Message from Hugh,
Hi everyone. I hope that you have been getting out and driving your LBC in this nice weather. I look forward to seeing everyone on the road in the coming weeks.
The club has started to use the website to accept registrations for the track and will shortly do the same for memberships. Please go to www.victoriamgclub.ca and check out the events calendar for upcoming events.
We had a great trip to Radium Hot Springs for The Calgary MG Club Show. They were very happy to see us and we all had a great time. The ride there was spectacular to put it mildly. We live in a great part of the world and we should get out and see it.
After the trip, we were at the Gorge Canada Day Picnic. There were a lot of different cars there(rods and muscle cars), but there was a great response to our little British cars. Next was the annual Brits on the Beach in Ladysmith. We had a great run up the Malahat and another good show. Lots of cars and good friends.
The following weekend was a track day and BBQ. Track day the weather was sunny and warm and we had about 22 people at the track and Dave Sheppard did a great job. After the track, we had a BBQ at my place and about 22 members showed up. It seemed all had a great time and a few even went for a swim. Great night.
I would like to draw your attention to the track days we put on 4 times a year. There is a lot of effort put into these events as well as club money. The goal is to have fun and at least break even. The last two events lost money and were short about 8-10 participants. Saying that I do believe we can turn this around. Please tell your friends and if anyone can help please put your name forward.
Please check the website for all upcoming events.
Armande would like all to register for the event at Government House on August 4th. See the Website. So far only 4 have registered. Please join in.
