Club Update from the President

The Dashboard is published on the third Monday of each month and reports on the happenings you may have missed at the club meeting the previous Monday.

The club had a good turnout at the Restoration Fair last week and we signed up new members. We had a tent and a small display. See attached photos.

I would like to know if there are any other members who wish to join us for the trip to Radium. We are having a meeting on Tuesday evening at my house for all attendees. We will plan the route and select the hotels. Please let me know if you are going to go and come to this informal meeting.

As you may be aware we are considering going to a web-based system for our membership and event registration. The time has come to do that, and we have asked Marc Speed to get the system up and running. We will have to do a lot of work to make this system functional so there may be a couple of glitches to work out.

It is our hope that we will have a very robust website and will make buying memberships, renewals, event, autocross, etc. easier.

Its the time of the year for shows, so get out there and enjoy. We have a group forming to go to Portland ABFM in September, so that will be a fun trip if anyone would like to join in.

Please keep dry and safe.

The past weekend the Club held it’s annual Driver’s Training sessions at Camosun College. Dave Sheppard ran the event and Jim Mills taught the course on Saturday. There were 10 attendees. Sunday went well with the exception that Stu Moore had an unfortunate incident on a hard stop and now is looking desperately for a proper radiator for a late 60’s B. If anyone can help please let him know so he can make the Radium trip
